
Stock Management
We all have stock systems within our businesses that have varying levels of success. Aluminium Joinery uses hundreds of small components that end up spread throughout the factory and all over employees benches. It becomes hard to track what stock you are using and how that compares to budgets.
FSM manages stock components on a item by item basis and knows what you should be using when, this allows you to make predictions of usage for any given time period and alerts production staff to whether or not these fall within stock levels. This is particularly useful in busy periods or coming into shut downs to ensure we have pre-ordered enough components to get us through. It also provides usage historically so we know how much we should have used and what that should have costed to compare to our stock purchases.
In addition the system generates and prints Kanban cards and uses the QR barcodes to run a Kanban board that staff can scan to alert production to reorder and has a lifecycle through to receiving the product into the factory. This ensures everyone is aware of stock on order, when it is due and whether or not it is here.
This results in less stock outages and therefore less production delays while helping you to minimise stock carried and therefore put unused cash back into your cash flow.

Components Predictor
Using production information about what components are used in a job and whether or not it is stocked, combined with the actual dates jobs will be manufactured the system can predict your stock usage and highlight any items that may use more than you have available in stock for a given time period. Ensuring you never run out of key components during peak times.
Kanban Boards
FSM can help you create Kanban cards with barcodes as well as assist with calculations around the appropriate amount to stock using proven Kanban formulas. This then lets you use the inbuilt notification and reminder system for stock management and a digital Kanban board
